Open Family Australia

For more than 30 years, Open Family Australia have been providing outreach support and services to homeless and at-risk young people. Their client group are disadvantaged young people between 12 to 25 years of age, from a wide range of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. These young people are some of the most vulnerable and marginalised people in our society and require early intervention to help them survive this critical time in their young lives. Issues including family conflict, poverty, violence and physical and sexual abuse are all significant factors in why young people either leave home, or are forced to leave. Statistics show that now, more than 32,000 young people sleep on our streets every night.
